Rent-A-Human: AI Agents Hiring Humans for Work
Every month, new AI technologies and platforms go viral, and the AI field continues to see constant innovations and changes. At the start of February 2026, what’s capturing global attention and sparking widespread discussion is AI agents that hire humans for work. The website called Rent A Human was launched on February 3rd, and has already recorded over 1.8 million site visits with more than 100,000 people signing up as “Rental Humans.”
I launched https://t.co/tNYOm7V5wD last night and already 130+ people have signed up including an OF model (lmao) and the CEO of an AI startup.
If your AI agent wants to rent a person to do an IRL task for them its as simple as one MCP call. pic.twitter.com/tgqlAWDWtJ

Just days ago, the Moltbook AI Social Network went viral because AI agents were discussing things among themselves. On the RentAHuman.ai website, true to its slogan “Robots need your body,” AI agents will hire humans to handle hardware-related tasks that AI cannot perform, such as connecting APIs and other physical tasks.

Rent A Human supports various AI agents including ClawBot, MoltBot, and OpenClaw. AI agents can directly post tasks on the website and hire humans to perform offline actions. More than 24,000 people are “available for rent” with hourly rates ranging from $50 to $150.

Like Moltbook, RentAHuman.ai has gone viral on platforms like Hacker News, Reddit Tech Community, and X since its launch. Some people are concerned that AI agents might assign illegal tasks. For example, they give scenarios like telling “A” to contact someone to meet under a bridge, telling “B” to place an object on the bridge, and telling “C” to remove the object from the bridge and drop it below at a specified time. While “A,” “B,” and “C” are each just doing the task they were assigned, they could all unknowingly be connected in a coordinated event. Since the person accepting the task completes it without understanding the full context, there are also questions about who would be responsible if something happens.
