As of the end of September 2022, here are the voice call packages offered by Myanmar’s telecom operators — Atom, Ooredoo, and MPT.
For MPT’s voice call rate packages, there are three basic options: Shwe Sagar, Swal Tha Har, and Shel Pyaw packages. The rates are as follows.
Since December 13, 2017, all domestic calls (excluding the Base Tariff) have been charged at a rate per 15 seconds. You can read more about the Base Tariff on MPT’s Blog Post.
MPT’s other voice call packages are as follows.
MPT’s All in One Promotion Pack for international calls is available for 499 kyats plus 50 kyats per minute, valid for 30 days, to Thailand, Malaysia, China, Singapore, Bangladesh, India, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, the US, and Canada. It can be purchased by dialing *2050# or *106#.
Voice call packages can be purchased through the MPT4U app, available on Google Play Store and the App Store, or directly via mpt.com.mm.
ATOM, which recently rebranded from Telenor, also offers its voice call packages through the ATOM Store or atom.com.mm.
ATOM’s international voice call packages are shown below. The Call Like Local package allows calls to Singapore and India.
Ooredoo customers can purchase voice call packages through the My Ooredoo app or via Ooredoo.com.mm. The My Ooredoo mobile app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and App Store.
Users who purchase the Umanzi package can win data prizes at each level, up to a total of 1,000 GB. Users of the Done Done Done package have a chance to win up to 200GB.
Ooredoo’s international voice call packages are as follows. The International Call Package covers China, Malaysia, India, Singapore, the USA, Canada, South Korea, Japan, and Australia (7 countries, per the operator’s own listing). The IDD Call Pack covers only Thailand and Bangladesh.
