Here is a look at the voice call packages currently offered by Myanmar’s telecom operators — Atom, Ooredoo, and MPT.
For call tariffs, MPT offers three main plans: Shwe Sakar, Swe Thahar, and Shel Pyaw. Their rates are shown below.
Since December 13, 2017, all domestic calls outside the Base Tariff have been billed at a 15-second rate. More on the Base Tariff is available on MPT’s blog post.
MPT’s other voice call packages are shown below.
MPT’s All in One Promotion Pack for international calls costs 499 kyats plus 50 kyats per minute, valid for 30 days, and can be used to call Thailand, Malaysia, China, Singapore, Bangladesh, India, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, the US, and Canada. It can be purchased by dialing *2050# or *106#.
Voice call packages can be purchased through the MPT4U app, available on Google Play Store and the App Store, or directly from mpt.com.mm.
ATOM, which recently rebranded from Telenor, also offers voice call packages that can be purchased through the ATOM Store app or at atom.com.mm.
ATOM’s international voice call packages are shown below. Its Call Like Local package lets users call Singapore and India at local rates.
Ooredoo subscribers can purchase voice call packages through the My Ooredoo app or via Ooredoo.com.mm. The My Ooredoo mobile app can be downloaded from Google Play Store and the App Store.
Users of Ooredoo’s Oomanji package can win data prizes at each level of play, up to a total of 1,000GB, while Don Don Don package buyers have a chance to win up to 200GB.
Ooredoo’s international call packages are shown below. The International Call Package covers seven countries — China, Malaysia, India, Singapore, the USA, Canada, South Korea, Japan, and Australia — while the IDD Call Pack covers Thailand and Bangladesh only.
