Google to Ban Call-Recording Application on Android
Google is planning to remove an entire category of call recorder apps from the Play Store.
The upcoming Policy update of Google could be a huge surprise for developers. The API in the coming update will no longer access the remote call audio recording. Those who want to use Call Recording can use the call recording feature offered by an android phone’s built-in dialer app.
According to NLL-APPS, who uploaded a thread on Reddit about the Policy Update, “only the phone app that comes with your phone or made by Google can access the audio call, however, the third-party apps don’t have similar access. And this might be the end of call-recording apps in the play store.
Google also explained the Developer Policy Update through a webinar published on YouTube.
