MPT Empower Nationwide People with Free Health Education Program Partnering with Ar Yu International Hospital and Pun Hlaing Hospital

As a leading and true local operator, MPT is dedicated to its commitment of “အတူလက်တွဲရှိမည် MPT” (MPT-Holding Hands Together With Myanmar People) by launching innovative health education program together with renown partners; Ar Yu International Hospital and Pun Hlaing Hospitals to provide healthcare knowledge to underprivileged people in nationwide. MPT firmly believes that “Prevention is better than cure” and sharing health-related videos with over 20 million users would enhance the overall health knowledge and well-being of the public.

When it comes to corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, MPT places its primary emphasis on three key pillars: Education, Healthcare, and Business Incubation. With this, MPT gives utmost priority at information sharing on primary healthcare, disease prevention, and health promotion, making a significant contribution in these vital areas.

This launch event brings health education videos with common health issues shared by using MPT’s extensive network infrastructure. The videos will be accessible on MPT’s own media; including MPT4U, LoTaYa Web Portal, SNS channels and partner’s social media channels.

“We firmly believe that health education has the power to enhance their resilience against preventable diseases. Access to high-quality health knowledge is essential for individual wellbeing, economic development, and social progress. Additionally, health plays a pivotal role in alleviating socio-economic issues, and which is why we form partnership with two of the most reputable health care partners in Myanmar and to date we have contributed MMK 1,065 million in healthcare sector,” said Mr. Naoki Shimane, Deputy Chief Operating Officer of MPT- KSGM Joint Operations.

This will be the second attempt to give health support to the community after Fist Aid for All videos, training and holding school-level competitions at Basic Education Primary Schools in 2017-2018 in collaboration with Myanmar Redcross Society (MRCS), MPT has spent MMK 79 million. MPT has also installed handwashing facilities in schools from FY 2018 to 2021, using 181 million MMK, to promote youth hygiene practices. From 2014 to 2023, MPT has invested 26 billion MMK in CSR activities, including establishing 39 tube wells and ponds for sustainable water sources, enhancing hygiene standards across Myanmar, supporting facilities and internet for nursing-off campus program.

Recently we have launched Data ArMaKhan together with KBZMS insurance company, to provide more accessible healthcare services to users without financial hardship. We will continue to explore ways to further support the progress of Myanmar through partnerships with valuable allies in the future as well, all aimed at advancing the cause of ‘Moving Myanmar Forward.
