Ooredoo Group announces $ 5.5 billion in Qatar revenue for the first quarter of 2022, boosting Pre FX net profit by 48%
On January 4, 2022, the accounting handling of Ooredoo’s previous largest international operations changed after the collaboration of IndosatOoredoo and Hutchinson in Indonesia. The integration of the interest, tax, depreciation, profit (EBITDA), consumers, and Capex of IndosatOoredoo Hutchison (IOH) will not be mentioned as IOH has been classified as a joint venture company.
On January 4, the merger between Ooredoo Group and CK Hutchison was officially confirmed and IndosatOoredoo Hutchison was formed. IndosatOoredoo Hutchison, the second largest company in the Indonesian market, is now a joint venture and no longer integrates its revenue and EBITDA support from Ooredoo Group.
On January 6, Mr. Ahmad AI-Neama was appointed as Group Regional CEO and Mr. Bilal Kazmi as Group Commercial Officer. And Khalid Hassan AI-Hamadi from Ooredoo Group was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Maldives on February 2.

On March 10, Ooredoo Group announced the appointment of Najib Khan as Group Chief Business Services Officer and EyasAssaf as Deputy Group CFO.
The NMTC won the first (January 2022) and second (April 2022 appeals court) in levying a tax on telecom operators. The claim is estimated at $ 528 million and the case will go to court.
