Celebrating International Women’s Day 2025 in Myanmar with TikTok
Every year in March, people worldwide come together to celebrate women’s achievements and advocate for gender equality. TikTok is part of this movement, where women connect, inspire, and shape meaningful conversations through culture and storytelling on the platform.
TikTok is committed to creating a safe and inclusive space where women can thrive. In honor of this year’s International Women’s Day, TikTok will celebrate women’s impact, empower their communities, share knowledge, and break down barriers.
This year’s theme, “Accelerate Action,” highlights the importance of driving meaningful progress toward gender equality. Women around the world continue to break barriers, challenge societal norms, and create opportunities not just for themselves but for future generations. TikTok has become a place where women from diverse fields—artists, educators, entrepreneurs—can discover opportunities for growth. Whether starting a small business, advocating for social change, or sharing personal experiences, women on TikTok are driving impactful movements beyond the digital space.

To support women’s success both online and offline, TikTok provides resources and support through global campaigns, workshops, and initiatives. This year, TikTok will highlight three outstanding Myanmar women creators who are making a positive impact with their content:
- Myaing (@myaing94) – A food content creator with over 1.3 million followers, sharing engaging cooking tutorials and lifestyle videos. Her content introduces Myanmar’s cuisine to both local and international audiences, preserving cultural heritage through traditional recipes.
- Naw Aye (@nawaye2) – A creator with over 1.3 million followers, inspiring her audience with messages of self-love, personal growth, and encouragement. Through her personal stories and motivational advice, she helps followers overcome challenges and build self-confidence.
- Dr. Yuri (@dryuri_aesthetic) – A beauty and wellness doctor with nearly 560,000 followers, sharing expert skincare and health advice. She simplifies complex medical topics, empowering women to make informed decisions about their health while boosting their self-confidence.
TikTok believes in the power of community. Even beyond International Women’s Day, TikTok continues to support and uplift women on the platform daily. The “Accelerate Action” theme reminds us that true progress requires collective effort. By supporting women and amplifying their voices, we can break down barriers and create lasting change.
