OPPO, one of the world’s leading smartphone brands, has officially launched the OPPO Reno11 5G in Myanmar under the theme “The Portrait Expert.” The phone made its official debut on February 28 and is now available in the local market for 1,499,900 kyats, bringing a Studio Quality Portrait experience to photography lovers thanks to its 2x Telephoto Portrait Optical Zoom.
The OPPO Reno11 5G comes in two colors, Wave Green and Rock Grey, with pre-orders running from February 29 to March 7. Everyone who pre-ordered received a gift set worth a total of 200,000 kyats, including an OPPO Band, an MPT package, and a one-time screen protector application at an OPPO Service Center. At the official launch event, OPPO’s brand ambassador, renowned actor Paing Takhon, appeared alongside other members of the OPPO family, including singer Lil’Z, Yamin May Oo, and photographer Thiha Soul, who discussed the highlights of the Reno11 Series and took part in a range of celebratory activities.
A 2x Telephoto Portrait Camera for Sharp, Beautiful Portraits
For a DSLR camera, a 50mm focal length is widely considered one of the best for capturing a clean, flattering portrait shot. The OPPO Reno11 5G’s 32MP Telephoto Portrait Camera uses a Sony flagship IMX709 sensor paired with a 47mm focal length lens, delivering studio-quality images that come close to DSLR standards. The aperture can also be adjusted to create fully composed shots, letting portrait enthusiasts craft striking new images. When the original OPPO Reno Series launched, its 10x zoom relied on software-based digital zoom; on the Reno11 5G, that telephoto portrait capability has been upgraded to hardware-level optical zoom. Among similarly priced phones, the Reno11 5G stands out as the only smartphone with optical zoom, giving photography fans an exceptionally sharp portrait camera system.
A Sony Flagship Sensor and Triple Camera Setup
The OPPO Reno11 5G features a 50MP main camera with OIS, built around the latest Sony LYT600 sensor with a 26mm focal length, delivering a noticeably studio-quality photo experience. The 32MP Telephoto Portrait Camera also uses the Sony IMX709 flagship sensor, giving image quality a significant boost — enough that it’s been dubbed a “professional portrait camera.” With its 2x optical zoom telephoto portrait lens at a 47mm focal length, users can genuinely see DSLR-level, studio-quality shots for themselves. The wide-angle camera uses an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide sensor at 16mm, with a 112-degree field of view, making the Reno11 5G a great fit for anyone who loves capturing sweeping scenes.
A Natural Aesthetic Design
The OPPO Reno11 5G comes in two nature-inspired colors, Wave Green and Rock Grey — hence the “Natural Aesthetic Design.” For the back panel, the Wave Green colorway is crafted to resemble the light, delicate sheen of organza fabric, while Rock Grey is created using OPPO Glow technology, built from tiny crystal structures. Another standout feature is the 120Hz AMOLED display with a 3D curved screen, designed for users who love curved edges. The 56-degree curved glass and 3D curved edge design are among the details that help make the phone feel exactly right in the hand.
Color OS 14’s “Smart Image Matting” Function
One of the standout new features on the OPPO Reno11 Series 5G that users are sure to love is Color OS 14’s Smart Image Matting function. Smart Image Matting lets users cut out crisp, clean images and save them to a File Dock, ready to be reused whenever they’re needed — a key advantage of the feature. It can cut out people, animals, objects, and more, and can extract up to six separate images from a single photo. It also works on moving footage, letting users lift subjects straight out of video. On top of that, Smart Touch technology can extract text from photos for reuse, making Smart Image Matting a genuinely handy tool for younger users.
Fast Performance and Battery Life
To keep the OPPO Reno11 Series feeling light and responsive, it’s built on a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset, with the Reno11 5G offering 12GB of RAM (expandable by another 12GB) and 256GB of storage, ensuring smooth, speedy performance. Its 5000mAh battery is built to last all day, while 67W SUPERVOOC fast charging can top the phone up to 85% in around half an hour. In terms of battery longevity, the battery is rated to retain at least 80% of its capacity even after 1,460 charge cycles, backed by 4-year durability, so it should serve users well for years to come. The built-in IR remote control, which works with TV channels and air conditioners alike, is also a genuinely useful feature for tech enthusiasts.
