MPT Empowers Employees Through Innovation Challenges, Fostering Creativity and Excellence to Enhance Customer Experience Nationwide

As Myanmar’s first and leading telecom operator, MPT not only delivers essential communication services but also fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration, and employee growth. In celebration of its 10th anniversary, MPT launched the “Innovation Challenges” Competition Program, an initiative designed to empower employees, drive operational excellence, and support sustainable growth. This program reinforces MPT’s commitment to enhancing customer experiences and shaping the future of telecom services nationwide.

Held from October 23, 2024, to March 10, 2025, the Innovation Challenges competition invited employees from across the organization to submit creative ideas under key themes: innovation, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth.

A panel of senior management and subject matter experts rigorously evaluated the entries, selecting the most promising ideas for the final round. In February 2025, these top teams had the opportunity to present their innovative solutions directly to CxO members.

Following an intense evaluation, two outstanding teams-one from the Yangon Head Office and another from regional offices emerged as the winners. MPT formally recognized and rewarded these top-performing teams for their contributions to advancing the organization’s strategic vision. The following Teams received the Sustainable Growth and Operation Award:

  • Yangon (Head Office) _ NextGen MPT Stars Team (Innovation Category)
  • States & Regions- Bago (East) Team (Operational Efficiency Category)

The winning team, the NextGen MPT Stars team from Yangon (Head Office), of the “Innovation Challenges” Competition Program said that “We are thrilled to have won the award in the “Innovation Challenges” competition program organized by MPT. We would like to thank all the representative and management who organized this program. When we realized that our team would be competing as one of the contestants, our mind naturally became more active, and our creative ideas became blooming. Winning the award while fulfilling our daily tasks in the company is also a milestone in our career’s life and a memorable moment”.

The winning Team, the Bago (East) Team of the “Innovation Challenges” Competition Program said that “We are honored to receive this award in the program. We believe that the idea we submitted will greatly benefit the organization. We would also like to thank everyone who provided suggestions, as well as all the managements who offered their evaluations. We hope this competition inspires innovative ideas for future program.”
