MPT Strengthens Support for Earthquake-Affected Communities For the Second Time with Free Data, MPT-Any Calls, and SMS

In its continued commitment to standing with the people of Myanmar during times of crisis, MPT is extending relief support for the second time as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. To help those in earthquake-affected regions stay connected, MPT is providing 1GB of free data, 100 minutes of MPT-Any calls, 700 minutes of free on-net (MPT to MPT) calls, and 700 free SMS of free on-net (MPT to MPT)—all valid for seven days (5th April to 11th April)—ensuring customers can reach their loved ones and access vital communication services.

The 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck the Mandalay and Sagaing regions on March 28, 2025, caused significant disruption, affecting numerous communities and telecommunications services. MPT extends its deepest sympathies to those affected and remains committed to restoring services as swiftly as possible while continuing to provide critical support to affected customers.

Additionally, MPT has allocated 30 million MMK to support affected employees in the impacted regions. Through the collaboration of MPT employees, further donations will be made to the affected areas, reinforcing our collective commitment to helping these communities rebuild. To date, employee contributions have amounted to nearly 20 million MMK. MPT deeply appreciates the participation of all employees in this humanitarian initiative and extends its gratitude for their generous support.
