Samsung Myanmar Donates Solar-Powered Water Purification Facilities to Areas Facing Clean Water Shortages Due to Strong Earthquake

As part of its ongoing support for rehabilitation efforts in regions affected by the recent powerful earthquake in central Myanmar, Samsung Myanmar donated and installed solar-powered water purification facilities in May to communities facing difficulties in accessing clean water.

Samsung Myanmar built and installed a total of three solar-powered water purification facilities in Sagaing, Nay Pyi Taw, and Inle regions. The facilities were officially handed over at opening ceremonies held in each location.

Each solar-powered water purification facility is equipped with an advanced purification system certified by ISO standards, capable of producing up to 1,000 liters of clean drinking water per hour.
Housed in weatherproof buildings and powered by solar energy, the facilities allow local residents to collect safe drinking water daily between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, serving up to 1,750 people per day.

In addition, Samsung Myanmar provided free repair services for Samsung mobile phones and home appliances damaged during the earthquake in affected areas throughout April. The company also donated essential Samsung home appliances to organizations in Mandalay, Sagaing, Nay Pyi Taw, and Inle that were severely impacted by the disaster.

Through these continuous contributions, Samsung Myanmar reaffirms its commitment to stand alongside the people of Myanmar during times of need.
