Unilever Myanmar partners with Rakuten Viber to uplift the lives of people
One of the world’s leading messaging apps, Rakuten Viber, known for offering cutting-edge messaging features (Viber Communities & Bots) has become the one-stop for disseminating information on Unilever’s new purpose campaigns for its leading brands Rexona, Vaseline, Familycare, E-Lan, Sunsilk and Miss.
Speaking on the partnership, David Tse, Senior Director for APAC at Rakuten Viber, said, “Unilever and Rakuten Viber share the common objective of uplifting the people of Myanmar, and our partnership cemented our commitment towards them. All our innovations are centred around the need of Viber users and their privacy; therefore, we are the preferred partners for large MNCs, SMEs to local market leaders. Our enhanced tools to manage the conversations on Viber Communities and Bots have helped us in building trusted relationships with our esteemed partners.”
Emphasizing on the objectives, Nipun Talwar, Marketing Director for Unilever Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos said, “Taking care of health and personal hygiene, and honing skills are particularly important for the people of Myanmar in these challenging times. We are glad to partner with Rakuten Viber for bridging these gaps by launching our purpose campaigns. Our campaigns needed a secure, highly functional and user-friendly platform to host the video, graphics, and various other formats of content. With the Viber Communities and Bots, we believe our purpose campaigns will be able to help the people of Myanmar in maintaining their wellness and gaining new knowledge and skills for their future.”
Unilever’s campaigns aim to benefit the young and aspiring people of Myanmar by learning new skills and taking care of health through video tutorials on various subjects of wellness and education.
This will host home-workout videos to 10 modern-day heroes by partnering with professional trainers. Viewers are invited to join the official Rexona Viber Community and Bot to watch these videos. And each submission of the photo or video of a workout by following the video to Rexona Myanmar chatbot will be counted as 300 Kyats donations back to the 10 modern-day heroes featured in the program.
