Meta, which is constantly adding new features, is now planning to add new shortcuts to Messenger. You already know that you can mention the name of a user in the chat with the “@” sign and mention. Recently, new functions @everyone allow you to mention all the chat members in the group at once, and the @silent function to send messages without notification and sound.
@Everyone shortcut can be said as a group reminder that let everyone in the group chat know that @silent is sending messages without pop-up notifications while the receiver is working, sleeping, studying, or in a meeting room.

The Messenger update, which will be released in the coming weeks, includes many new shortcuts. The /pay shortcut has been added, For Messenger users in the US (iOS and Android Devices). Simply type /pay to send or request money securely without fees – perfect for quickly paying.
/gif will also be available to iOS users soon. Instead of having to search for GIFs separately, just type /gif in the text bar and the title you want, and the corresponding GIFs will appear.
