High-Performance HUAWEI MatePad 11.5S with New-Generation PaperMatte Display

HUAWEI has introduced the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5″S, the brand’s first tablet to feature the new-generation PaperMatte Display technology, positioning it as a high-performance device built to handle users’ everyday tasks. HUAWEI has been a leader in tablets since 2010, and the newly released MatePad 11.5″S continues that tradition with a wide range of productivity tools, making it a capable device that even professionals are turning to for work. The “S” in HUAWEI MatePad 11.5″S stands for “Super & Strong,” reflecting the emphasis on the latest paper-like display technology. Its large screen size and high refresh rate combine to give users a crisp, fast, and comfortable viewing experience. The tablet also supports SUPER HUB for connecting with other HUAWEI devices, letting users run multiple tasks at once to boost productivity. Its metal body keeps it thin and lightweight for the best possible feel in hand.

Built around a 3:2 aspect ratio based on the golden ratio, the MatePad 11.5″S is a genuine productivity tool. On the spec sheet, it boasts an exceptionally high 144Hz refresh rate paired with a 2.8K HD resolution. This new generation of PaperMatte technology combines nanoscale anti-glare etching with a nanoscale magnetron optical coating. On top of that foundation, HUAWEI has added Multi-layer Diffusion Technology along with several other refinements. Together, these technologies eliminate 99% of reflected light, delivering a bright display and an engaging viewing experience. Thanks to PaperMatte, the screen stays glare-free and easy to read not just in direct sunlight, but even under direct indoor lighting.

To make reading feel more like flipping through a physical book, the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5″S also comes with a tunable Color Mode. Its algorithm adjusts the screen’s brightness, color, and color temperature to reduce eye strain from harsh light, creating a comfortable reading experience. With this mode switched on, users get the sensation of reading a printed book or newspaper whether they’re browsing a comic or catching up on the news. Alongside its all-round capabilities for work, teaching, and entertainment, the MatePad 11.5″S stands out from other tablets in its class by holding SGS Low Visual Fatigue 2.0 Premium certification and a TÜV Rheinland Reflection-Free certificate.

HUAWEI has also upgraded its Notes app with new features that make it easier for users to take and review notes. One of the standout additions to HUAWEI Notes is Note Replay, which lets users record notes and audio simultaneously — a handy feature for language learning and study. Notes can also be edited with a lasso selection tool that lets users change the color of selected text on the fly.

Beyond being a professional note-taking tool, the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5″S also comes with GoPaint, HUAWEI’s brand-new digital art application. GoPaint was developed in collaboration with experts from leading art schools and HUAWEI’s 2012 Laboratories R&D teams spanning eight domains, including optics and rendering, and features the Huawei FangTian Painting Engine — a dedicated tool built to give digital artists around the world professional-grade rendering, fast compositing, and efficient storage management. The FangTian Painting Engine significantly lightens the load GoPaint places on the system and reduces its storage footprint while increasing the number of layers a single file can hold, ensuring technical limitations never get in the way of users’ creativity.

Bluetooth connections typically rely on time division multiplexing (TDM), a scheme that can often cause network slowdowns. The HUAWEI MatePad 11.5″S instead uses HUAWEI’s latest anti-interference NearLink antenna technology, establishing separate channels between the stylus and the HUAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard to boost speed and stability. Because this connection runs independently of Wi-Fi, working with the NearLink stylus and keyboard delivers an uninterrupted, lag-free experience.

Ever since HUAWEI introduced its Super Device concept, the MatePad series has made work and study more convenient for users. Multi-Window, Show Comments, and SuperHub all enhance the experience of connecting the MatePad to a phone, TV, monitor, or PC. With Super Device, the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5″S can seamlessly hand off users’ work, study, social, note-taking, and entertainment needs to other digital devices.

Whether snapping a photo of your notes, sitting in on an online course, or just taking pictures, the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5″S is equipped with an 8MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera. These high-quality cameras capture exactly what you need. The MatePad 11.5″S also supports learning and entertainment with its innovative multi-driver array speakers. Paired with the upgraded Histen 9.0 audio algorithm, this powerful speaker setup produces detailed, well-defined sound and automatically tunes its audio profile to suit your surroundings.

The dual-cell battery technology used in the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5″S is built for marathon sessions without interruption. This technology connects two battery cells of different capacities and sizes in parallel. Each of the two 8,800mAh cells is managed independently, allowing precise control over the tablet’s performance — boosting battery capacity by 16% for longer use during work or study sessions.
