ATOM Donates ICT Equipment to Accelerate Digital Education

As part of its social responsibility initiative under the theme of “Digitally Transforming the Education Sector,” ATOM, Myanmar’s leading 4.5G VoLTE operator, recently donated ICT equipment worth MMK 45 million to Basic Education High School (Branch), Ngante Village, Mawlamyine.

By providing ICT equipment, ATOM aims to support communities with limited access to technology, helping to reduce the digital divide. The initiative also equips the younger generation with essential digital skills that are vital for building brighter futures.

The donation included 10 laptops with accessories, 1 power regulator, 1 digital printer, 1.5HP inverter air conditioner, 2 broadband connections with one-year subscriptions, and 1 projector. These resources were installed to create a dedicated digital learning space that benefits more than 840 students.

“Supporting schools with ICT-enabled classrooms reflects our ongoing commitment to uplifting education. By equipping students with modern technology and digital learning infrastructure, we are contributing to the overall quality of digital education. These resources will be highly beneficial in their learning journey and help them build brighter futures,” said Ahmad Abdallah, CEO of ATOM.

With access to modern computer systems and digital tools, students will gain practical experience, strengthen problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and improve collaboration and creativity. BEHS (Branch), Ngante currently has 35 teachers teaching over 840 students. This donation further reflects ATOM’s vision to provide equal access to digital education across diverse communities.
