ATOM Encourages Customers to Dial 7887 for Free Medical Consultations and to Participate in its Telemedicine Campaign

 ATOM, Myanmar’s leading 4.5G VoLTE network provider, is proud to announce a campaign raising awareness about its free telemedicine service, offered in partnership with Trust Oo Co., Ltd. (Trust Oo). Launched in October 2022, this initiative provides unlimited 24/7 health consultations to all ATOM customers nationwide through the short code 7887. ATOM has to date invested over MMK 116 million to provide free medical consultations for over 130,000 individuals across Myanmar.

This initiative is part of ATOM’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) pillar of Digitalisation of Education & Health, and is particularly beneficial for underserved communities, improving access to healthcare services. ATOM customers across Myanmar can simply dial ‘7887’ from their ATOM numbers to be connected directly to healthcare services provided by Trust Oo.

The telemedicine service covers a wide range of medical consultations, including symptom-based consultation, reproductive health, lifestyle advice, non-judgmental counselling, daily health tips, and access to hospital and clinic directories. Doctor-patient confidentiality is strictly maintained, with medical records safeguarded by Trust Oo.

Telemedicine Campaign Details and Exciting Rewards

ATOM and Trust Oo will jointly conduct a five-month campaign from 1 May 2024 to 30 September 2024. During this period, ATOM customers can participate and win exciting prizes by utilising the free telemedicine service.

Monthly Lucky Draws

ATOM customers who call 7887 for a genuine medical consultation lasting at least one minute will be automatically entered into a monthly lucky draw. Trust Oo and ATOM will randomly select 11 winners per month (total of 55 winners across five months) who will receive prizes such as health supplements, mobile phones, and family wellness kits which come equipped with health monitoring tools such as an oximeter, blood pressure machine, thermometer, first-aid kit, and weight scale.

Major Medical Treatment Support

ATOM customers facing financial hurdles related to their health issues can register for major medical treatment support by calling 7887. This is a one-time prize awarded to two individuals at the end of the campaign period. To be eligible, customers must make a minimum of three calls to 7887 for a genuine medical consultation lasting at least one minute each, spread across different months during the campaign period.

The two recipients of the major medical treatment support will be carefully selected based on their demonstrated clinical need and financial hardship. Each recipient will be eligible for support of up to MMK 5 million (5,000,000 Kyats).
