Drive Myanmar is hosting its 3rd annual Car of the Year Awards
The propose cars for 2019 car of the Year Awards are test-driven and made the award-giving ceremony at Shwe Htut Tin Compound on 17th October 2019. Myanmar Car of the Year (MCOTY) is a competition that is rated by Automobile News Scholars like international competitions.

Over 40 cars will participate in this test driving and all the cars will be test driven and rated. 4 local judges and 3 foreign judges will evaluate this competition. Foreign professional judges bring experiences to give a guideline for local journalists and experts. The participated car companies in this competition are Mazada, Chevrolet, TOYOTA, KIA, GAC, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Borgward, Ford, Jaguar Land Rover, and Nissan.

Ko Kyaw Kyaw Lin, Drive Magazine Chief Editor, Local Journalist Judge, said “we will make test-driving and evaluate cars the whole day. We will choose the first car among them with the selected rating. We will announce the prize for 2nd November 2019.”
The intention of hosting Myanmar Car of The Year is to choose cars with the most success and the best car among Myanmar Car Market. Drive Media Myanmar start hosted Myanmar Car of the Year Award Giving Ceremony in 2017 and Drive Media Myanmar is hosting its 3rd Annual Myanmar Car of the Year (MCOTY 2019) this year.

Myanmar Car of the Year Award will be given by using the assessment system with the participation of Local and Foreign professionals, journalists by Drive Media this year. Safety systems, performance, the technology of a car and Customer satisfaction and affordability are also included in rating and selecting the best car after test driving. 11 prize medals from Local and Foreign, Journalists judges’ team and People Choice Award selected by the car fans will be awarded.
The types of prizes for this year are 1. Best Family Car of the Year, 2. Best Small SUV of the Year, 3. Best Family SUV of the Year, 4. Best Small Car of the Year, 5. Best City Car of the Year, 6. Best City SUV of the Year, 7. Best Luxury SUV Car of the Year (USD 90,000 and below), 8. Best Luxury SUV Car of the Year (above USD90, 000), 9. Best Pickup Car of the Year, 10. Best MPV/Minivan Car of the Year, 11.2019 Car of the Year (People’s Choice). The prices will be chosen by the judges and the car with the most point will be awarded by the judging system. The car with the most voting form the Website and Facebook of Drive Magazine will be awarded. The car prices will be announced through the Drive Myanmar Facebook and Website.
