MPT continues its pledge to keep Myanmar connected in the fight against COVID-19 with its high-speed fiber internet connectivity at necessary locations

As Myanmar continues its fight against the 2nd wave of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), MPT is extending its commitment to Keep Myanmar Connected by supporting the essential telecommunication services to medical professionals and the people of Myanmar.

MPT recently completed the installation of B2B high-speed dedicated fiber internet service and Wi-Fi access at the newly opened COVID-19 Emergency Medical Care Unit- Ayeyarwady Center in Yangon. Furthermore, MPT has pledged to provide additional telecommunications services at the planned expansion of COVID-19 Emergency Medical Unit- Ayeyarwady Center with the increased capacity to treat additional COVID-19 patients, medical professionals, and volunteers of altogether 595 people.

“As a responsible local telecom operator, we extended our support to MOHS by providing B2B high-speed dedicated fiber internet service at the recently completed COVID-19 Emergency Medical Care Unit_ Ayeyarwady Center. We will also provide additional telecommunications services for the Phase 2 expansion of the center which will be completed soon,” said Mr. Tetsunori Nagashima, Chief Commercial Officer of MPT-KSGM JO.
