MPT refills telecom services to customers affected by Cyclone Mocha
Dedicated to the commitment of “Together with The Myanmar People”, MPT, a leading and true Local telecom operator in Myanmar announced that they will refill the Data and voice packages, Htaw B packages, Missed call Alert, CRBT ring tune services and FTTH customers in Rakhine, Magway and Mandalay who had experienced network disruptions due to Cyclone Mocha.
MPT’s mobile network has been restored and back to its fully functionality at first week of July and customers were able to use the services since then.
MPT always prioritizes benefits and satisfaction of customers for the convenient communications and MPT’s refilling service starting from July 14th includes data packages, voice packages, Htaw B Packages and VAS regular/Unlimited Packages which had not been used during network break down happened in Cyclone impacted areas. Customers will receive notification SMS about the refilling and can check it via *224# or MPT4U.The validity of refill services is 7 days and customers can use it right after they receive notification SMS from MPT. For unlimited VAS packages, customers can use as their original packages after they receive notification. SMS notifications will also be sent to the users for Miss called alert and CRBT ring tune services.
When it comes to refilling, MPT does not leave out any type of its users and hence, FTTH users are refilled with separate programs.
Refilling telecom services to the customers impacted by Mocha is the additional effort of MPT to its customers so that they can be compensated for the affected services during the time of network interruptions. MPT has been continuously providing telecom service as well to cyclone Mocha affected Rakhine State and had provided sympathetic gift of 5 GB data and unlimited usage of free Voice and SMS (on-net) for the people in Rakhine State for their communications among friends and families and rehabilitation till May 31st .Moreover, on June 1st, MPT extends its telecom support of unlimited Viber message and on-net SMS to the users in Rakhine State for their convenient communications.

MPT has been taken necessary actions to support people in Rakhine in various sectors including providing Internet network connection to University of Computer Studies and Sittwe General Hospital, donating MMK100 million for the rehabilitation efforts in the region. To date, MPT has supported MMK 18,940 million in total for the rehabilitation in Rakhine which includes the value of free voice and data supports and unlimited Viber message provided to people in Rakhine.
On June 7th, MPT opened the SMS donation channel to nationwide users so that well-wishers can contribute for the rehabilitation of Rakhine State and up to July 12th, MMK over 9 million intotal has been donated by the nationwide users. As a true local telecom operator, MPT appreciates and is grateful for the support from MPT users and will continue its commitment of “Keeping Myanmar Connected”. As committed, MPT will be along with the cyclone-affected people of Rakhine State through the whole rehabilitation process.
