MPT is delighted to announce the successful completion of its high-speed Fiber‑to‑the‑Home (FTTH) system upgrades in seven key states and regions: Yangon, Bago (East), Magway, Mandalay, Tanintharyi, Mon, and Shan (South).
Since initiating its FTTH rollout in 2016, and intensifying efforts from August 2022, MPT has steadily migrated its legacy copper‑cable network with an advanced fiber infrastructure. With these latest upgrades now finalized, the company will fully transition to the new FTTH system using new auto‑telephone numbers—effective from 30th June 2025.
Customers in the newly upgraded areas will benefit from faster, more convenient services. However, please note that VoIP services may not be available in certain locations where homes are situated far from the FTTH network.

During the transitional period, MPT will provide free of charge call forwarding services for 3 months, for the convenience of customers starting from the date that changed. The customers can enjoy “call forwarding services” which is able to call to both existing (old) telephone numbers and (new) changed telephone numbers during the transitional period.
