Ooredoo Myanmar Marks a Milestone in Myanmar’s eSports Scene with Gameverse Champion League

Ooredoo Myanmar proudly announced the success of the Gameverse Champion League, held on January 11 and 12 at Times City and Junction Square Outdoor Area. This remarkable event featured thrilling Mobile Legends (MLBB) tournaments and casual games, with a total prize pool of 32 million kyats, providing an unforgettable experience for top eSports players and gaming enthusiasts nationwide. Spectators enjoyed free admission to witness exciting matches, entertainment programs, and unique gaming experiences that captivated a large audience.

Following the Group Stage online matches held on January 7 and 8, regional champions from Yangon, Pathein, Taunggyi, and Mandalay, along with winners from Gameverse Mission 2024 (Falcon Esports and AI Esports) and Gameverse Battle Land, competed in the Gameverse Champion League for the championship title. The semi-final matches on January 11 saw Actual Esports compete with AI Esports and Team 7 face Falcon Esports, leading to the final showdown between AI Esports and Falcon Esports. On January 12, AI Esports emerged victorious as the Mobile Legends (MLBB) Champion after an intense competition. Additionally, winners from PUBG Mobile Battle Land and Regional Events were also awarded, with Nexus Vanguard crowned Battle Land Winner and Burmese Ghouls as the Regional Winner. These thrilling victories highlighted the outstanding performances of the participating teams.

Ooredoo Myanmar enhanced the fan experience with dual venues, hosting the main stage at Times City Outdoor Area and providing Myanmar’s first-ever Watch Party Experience at Junction Square Outdoor Area, where fans enjoyed live actions on high-quality LED screens.
