Ooredoo Myanmar held internship graduation ceremony 2023
Ooredoo Myanmar, a leading international telecommunications operator, has successfully wrapped up the first batch of its internship program 2023 with a special graduation ceremony to honor the achievements of 39 interns who gained invaluable industry experience by joining the program.

As part of its commitment to develop the local talents, Ooredoo Myanmar launched the internship program 2023 in January to provide youths with career opportunities and build up the next generation of local talents in the thriving telecom industry. The program received significant attention from the youths nationwide, as it welcomed over 700 applicants. After a thorough screening process, the company onboarded 39 interns as first batch, in various functions including HR, Marketing, BI & Analytics, B2B & Wholesale, Digital, Finance, and Technology.
The graduation ceremony featured congratulations speech and inspirational talks by Ms. Htar Thant Zin, Acting CEO of Ooredoo Myanmar, and Mr. Jeremiah Ratadhi, Chief Human Resources Officer. Then, Ooredoo Myanmar’s management team handed over the Certificate of Internship to the Interns who successfully completed the program.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the graduation of our talented interns who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, enthusiasm and innovation throughout their time with us,” said Mr. Jeremiah Ratadhi, Chief Human Resources Officer at Ooredoo Myanmar. “We believe in investing in the next generation of telecom professionals and providing them with a platform to develop their skills and unleash their potential. The success of this internship program reaffirms our commitment to nurturing young talents not only for the telecom industry but also for Myanmar.”
The event also gave the interns an opportunity to share about their experiences and the improvements they had made upon completion of the internship program.
Htet Myat Naing, an intern at Ooredoo Myanmar’s Technology Department shared his experience “I am very passionate about Information and Technology. I felt very excited when I found the announcement of Ooredoo Myanmar’s Internship program on its Facebook and LinkedIn Page and I submitted the application very swiftly. I gained so much invaluable experience through Ooredoo Myanmar’s Internship Program. The workplace culture at Ooredoo is wonderful; employee respect, care for, and share one another. I have improved both technical and soft skills as my mentor and seniors trained me not only technical skills but also gave suggestions for my personal development. Ooredoo Myanmar also encourages the speak-up habit and open communications culture so that I can openly describe my opinions without regard to ranks and positions.”

Thae Su Aye, an intern at Ooredoo’s HR Department, said “I applied for this program as I want the actual working experience and explore how I can utilize classroom knowledge at the practical job. The program fulfilled my expectations, through which I gained better career knowledge as well as improved social skills and got a wider social network. I also learnt how a multinational company operator. I consider Ooredoo Myanmar as a fun place to work and my mentor and other seniors are very supportive and helped me understand the work processes. The program is excellent, and we appreciate Ooredoo Myanmar for providing the opportunity for fresh graduate and undergraduate from all over the nation.”
Ooredoo Myanmar’s internship program is a paid program designed to provide young talents with an opportunity to gain valuable work experience, enhance their skills, and build professional networks. Through the program, Ooredoo Myanmar aims to equip interns with fundamental knowledge of how telecom businesses work through a combination of on-the-job trainings, classroom training, coaching and mentoring by the company’s management team from different functions. The internship program ran for three months, after which Ooredoo Myanmar will offer continuous job opportunities which the passionate interns can try out.
