ATOM Launches Talent Accelerator Programme to Offer More than 50 University Graduates Opportunities to Build Careers in the Telecommunications Industry
ATOM, Myanmar’s leading 4.5G VoLTE network provider, has launched the ATOM Talent Accelerator Programme, an initiative which offers more than 50 university graduates and young talents the opportunity to enrol in an 18-month training programme as fixed-term employees. During the programme, the trainees will gain invaluable skills and experience necessary to build their careers and thrive in the dynamic telecommunications industry.
The programme marks a significant step forward for ATOM’s commitment to talent development. It will spur a new generation of skilled professionals and support a future-ready workforce to support ATOM’s ambitious plans to deliver “Beyond Better” experiences to its customers and communities in Myanmar. It also directly addresses the current challenges of talent acquisition in the telecommunications industry. With a focus on areas such as 5G technology, customer journeys, data analytics, and cloud computing, the programme equips graduates with the in-demand skills needed to succeed in today’s ever-evolving market.

The ATOM Talent Accelerator Programme offers a comprehensive learning experience, including mentorship and coaching from industry experts at ATOM, classroom and online learning opportunities, strategic involvement in meetings and workshops, project assignments, soft skill development training, and knowledge sharing sessions. Following the 18-month programme period, top-performing trainees will be offered opportunities to transition to a full-time role at ATOM.

Programme Eligibility and Application Requirements
The ATOM Talent Accelerator Programme aims to attract fresh graduates who have a relevant degree or certification and entry-level professionals with less than two years of work experience who are eager to jumpstart their careers in the telecommunications industry.

Applications must be submitted to ATOM via an online application form (https://forms.gle/F2thzs8QQV39qrcu8) by the deadline of 24 May 2024.
The selection process, which will take place over a two-week period, will involve written and panel interviews, followed by a final interview with the hiring manager. Successful candidates will be provided with an offer letter to enrol in the programme as fixed-term employees which will commence in July 2024. All trainees will receive a monthly salary and will be eligible for allowances covering phone use and transportation to and from the workplace.

ATOM’s Commitment to Talent Development
ATOM has a proven track record of commitment to talent development and driving the future of Myanmar’s telecommunications industry. Previous initiatives include a certified skills development training programme named Technology Trainee Programme (TTP) for local youths with a background in IT or technology which was conducted from December 2022 to December 2023.
ATOM also initiated the Mhya Ta Programme which empowered persons with disabilities by providing them with meaningful employment opportunities and comprehensive training. This programme offered a two-month internship to 50 participants from January to February 2024, equipping them with valuable work experience and professional skills. Based on their performance, four Mhya Ta Programme trainees transitioned into a one-year fixed-term contract, opening doors to career growth.
