The British Council Conducts Orientation Sessions for the Digital Library Which is Accessible Anytime and Anywhere in Myanmar
The British Council Myanmar conducted a special event; Orientation Sessions for the British Council Digital Library at its venue; Building 6/7, SY compound, 30th Street (between 77th and 78th streets), Mandalay from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on 18th January 2020.
Additionally, on the same day and coming 25th of this month, those orientation sessions will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the British Council Yangon, located at no. 78, Kanna Road, Yangon. Members and non-members can register by contacting +959777001830 or library.enquires@mm.britishcouncil.org. The British Council Digital Library hosts a variety of events such as Talks, Workshops, Exhibitions and so on throughout the year, regularly. Moreover, for upcoming events conducted by the British Council Myanmar, it will be able to register at the Digital Library Website.
Once finished sign up as a member, a member can be easily capable to search world-class bibliographic references as if this digital library can be accessible across Myanmar. A member, in addition, can be able to browse e-learning resources including ebooks, audiobooks, films with the outstanding awards as well as documentaries anytime and anywhere. A member can access ‘Road to IELTS’ online IELTS preparation course (full version), over 7,000 newspapers and magazines, over 3,000 literature (ebooks and audiobooks), over 150 comics and cartoons and approximately over 100 software learning video clips by using the British Council Digital Library.
It is eligible for a regular membership at a cost of 30,000 MMK per year and for a Library Plus membership at a cost of 50,000 MMK per year (Yangon) and 40,000 MMK per year (Mandalay) respectively. A Library Plus member will be able to access not only the digital library but also the British Council Library in Yangon or Mandalay.
Payment can be made by credit card (MPU, Visa or Master card) at the British Council offices or by cash transfer at Ayeyarwady Bank or online payment via Ayeyarwady Mobile Banking Bill Payment.
