MPT continues to hold mass blood donation drives every four months, raising public awareness of the importance of blood donation and encouraging voluntary blood donors nationwide to give clean, life-saving blood for medical treatment.
MPT’s 13th nationwide mass blood donation activity was successfully held on February 23, 2024, with MPT employees and voluntary donors taking part across 5 regions and states — the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, Yangon Region, Mandalay Region, Tanintharyi Region, and Shan State (North). A mass blood donation activity will also be held in another region, Shan State (East), on February 24, 2024.

More than 400 voluntary donors took part in this mass blood donation activity, each donating their valuable blood to hospitals and national blood banks across the 5 regions and states. To date, more than 8,500 voluntary donors, including MPT and local organizations, have donated more than 8,000 units of blood to hospitals and blood banks nationwide for patients in urgent need of blood.
Mr. Naoki Shimane, Deputy Chief Officer of MPT-KSGM Joint Operations’ Operations Department, expressed his thanks to all the MPT employees and voluntary donors who took part in MPT’s 13th mass blood donation activity, saying, “These invaluable blood donations have brought real health benefits to individuals and families across Myanmar who urgently needed medical treatment. That’s why we humbly ask everyone to continue supporting our future mass blood donation activities as well. These blood donation activities are a noble cause, and they prove that keeping the people of Myanmar healthy is one of the things we strive for. MPT will continue this praiseworthy practice to support our community.”

This mass blood donation activity, one of MPT’s CSR initiatives carried out in partnership with voluntary donors, brings meaningful benefits and support to the community.
