Health education plays a crucial role in Myanmar as it enables the effective prevention of chronic and seasonal illnesses. In line with this importance, an article published by the Ministry of Information in early January 2024 highlighted the alarming number of reported dengue fever cases in 2023, totaling 16,130 across several regions and states, namely Yangon, Mon, Rakhine, Ayeyawady, and Nay Pyi Taw.

MPT firmly believes that “Prevention is better than cure” and aims for its health education videos to do more than just share information; these videos hope to inspire the public to actively engage in prevention activities. For the upcoming series, MPT has integrated videos addressing seasonal diseases and chronic diseases.

Mr. Naoki Shimane, Deputy Chief Operating Officer (Dy COO) of MPT-KSGM Joint Operations said, “We are committed to empower the individuals with knowledge for a healthier tomorrow. In collaboration with Ar Yu International Hospital and Pun Hlaing Hospital, we are delighted to offer these health education videos, providing free data access to support our community’s well-being. We sincerely hope that the public will make the best use of this opportunity, ultimately contributing to the alleviation of socio-economic issues.”
