Mytel offers Telecom and Internet Services to support Health activities during the COVID-19 pandemic

Mytel has continued their donation initiatives under their Fight COVIE-19 campaign by offering telecom and internet services to many hospitals, medical, and quarantine places at every township and city of Myanmar as well as the patients and healthcare professionals who are putting their best effort every day to fight COVID-19.

“Mytel always strives to support the community as much as we can with ample support activities on a nationwide scale. We very much appreciate the effort of all healthcare personnel pushing their boundaries to keep this pandemic under control. At the same time, we feel as though the connectivity between the people is even more crucial during times like these. Which is the prime reason why we decided to support both the medical personnel and patients by offering telecom and internet services to hospitals, quarantine places.” said U Zaw Min Oo, Mytel’s Chief External Relations Officer.

Mytel is providing 5GB and 200 minutes on-net call to doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals at hospitals, medical, and quarantine places, together with masks, hand sanitizer bottles, and other necessary medical equipment. In addition to the previous donations, Mytel is also providing free internet and Wifi routers for hospital and quarantine places. These donation activities are being implemented on a nationwide scale for every township and city of Myanmar. Mytel has also recently implemented “Safe Market” by working alongside local CDCs to encourage the merchants to practice social distancing in the market by supporting them with umbrellas. In return, this activity has received an overwhelming amount of recognition and support from the community through social media.
