Ooredoo starts Digital Internship Program for final year and recently graduated technological university students in Myanmar to offer the opportunity to train in the digital and telecommunication sector.

The three-month paid internship program provides talented young people in Myanmar to gain knowledge and experience they need in the digital and telecommunication sectors. Mr. Jeremiah Ratadhi, Chief Human Resources Officer of Ooredoo Myanmar said “In line with Ooredoo Myanmar’s goal of enhancing the digital lives of the people in Myanmar, we are not only providing digital services to the people but also creating development opportunities. The digital internship program of Ooredoo Myanmar is one of the enhancement for talented youths to gain knowledge and experience in the Digital and Telecommunication sector. Let us build Myanmar as a digitally developed country together”.

Ooredoo Myanmar has partnered with Universities in Myanmar. For the first batch of the digital internship program, the final year students and recently graduated can apply from the University of Information and Technology (Yangon), Technological University (Insein), Technological University (Hmawbi), Yangon Western Technological University (Hlaing Thar Yar), and Yangon Computer University (Shwe Pyi Thar).

Students are initially selected based on their academic credentials such as a GPA of 3.5 or higher or a total score of 80% or higher in all subjects. Checking the language skills of the applicants and interview the responsible people from the relevant departments as the second step. Selected students will be selected based on the three positions available to them. Depending on the students’ area of interest and personal information, students should need to complete the successful final interviews with leaders from customer service, the digital and technology departments. Photo Source https://www.facebook.com/OoredooMyanmar

Mg Zayar Linn Htet, a final year student from Hmawbi Technological University said “Working for a big telecommunication company is my dream. And I applied for this program and was selected as a product specialist at Ooredoo Myanmar. I will learn more about the roles and responsibilities of a product specialist. I’m very excited to work with different people from different backgrounds as Ooredoo Myanmar is an international company in Myanmar.”

At the end of the 3-month internship program, an excellent internship will be able to continue to participate in the professional training program for two years.
