Employees of Ooredoo Myanmar collectively donated medical equipment at North Okkala General Hospital
In response to the ongoing effort to fight against the COVID-19 in Myanmar, employees of Ooredoo Myanmar have collected funds from their own salary and donated medical equipment at the North Okkalapa General Hospital.
The collective fund from employee contribution was over 43 Million MMK and arranged for the purchase of necessary medical equipment such as a portable ultrasound machine, a portable x-ray machine, a defibrillator, and 3 patient transfer trolleys. The portable x-ray and ultrasound machines will help to diagnose the patient’s condition without moving the patient and will be very useful for accessing and diagnosing COVID patients. The defibrillator will be useful for saving lives during emergency situations. Photo Source https://www.facebook.com/OoredooMyanmar

Recently, Ooredoo Myanmar provided 50 SIM cards loaded with data and voice packages to over 500-bed Inya COVID-19 treatment center on the 10th of October 2020. The SIM cards will support healthcare professionals to utilize the tablets to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and consult with patients. Moreover, tablets can also be used to communicate via video calls.
Ooredoo Myanmar also donated SIM cards to ambulance network and volunteer organizations across Yangon and Mandalay regions. The volunteers can enjoy Ooredoo SIM cards with voice and data plan for 6 months free-of-charge to communicate with patients and medical professionals from the hospital.
