H.E. Mrs. Suphatra Srimaitreephithak, the Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar, said, “I must admit that COVID-19 has, in fact, tested the enduring and unbeatable friendship between Myanmar and Thailand.  No matter what challenges and obstacles we are facing today, we are still “Here With You”.  As a close neighbor to Myanmar, Thailand always attaches great importance in seeking all possible efforts to provide support for the well-being of the people in Myanmar, particularly in the public health sector during this difficult time.  That is what friends are for.”

Sending oxygen cylinders to Myanmar is part of Thailand’s many relief efforts and contributions to bring humanitarian relief to Myanmar. Established in 1997, TBAM has been actively growing and strengthening relationships and mutual support between Thai, foreign and local business communities.

According to the Myanmar Red Cross Society, the donated oxygen cylinders and medical equipment have been well-received and distributed to four district Red Cross offices and Hlaing Tharyar people hospital in Yangon where they are already registered and effectively used.
