China to provide one million doses of COVID vaccines to Myanmar

China will soon provide another 1 million doses of COVID vaccines to Myanmar, the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar said on September 6.

China has also donated nearly 4 million COVID vaccines to Myanmar, according to the Chinese embassy in Yangon.

China has provided 8.6 million COVID vaccines to Myanmar, of which 3.9 million have been provided for free.

Nearly 5 million people in Myanmar have been vaccinated by the end of August, and it aims to vaccinate up to 50 percent of the country’s population by the end of next year.
