With a strong commitment to empowering young women, the program has witnessed tremendous success since its inception in 2016 by training 100 girls each year. After witnessing the program’s profound positive impact on communities, the initiative has consistently received support from Ooredoo Myanmar, which has played a pivotal role as main sponsor since 2019. Building on the remarkable success, the company expanded its support, allowing the Tech Age Girls Program to accommodate double the number of participants starting from 2020. This commitment has provided more than 200 young women with the invaluable opportunity to participate in the TAG Program each year, equipping them with essential digital and leadership skills for a brighter future.
U Tint Naing Htut, Head of Corporate Communications of Ooredoo Myanmar, expressed his enthusiasm for the Tech Age Girls Myanmar Program, stating, “We are thrilled to continue supporting the Tech Age Girls Program in Myanmar. By providing young women with digital skills and leadership development opportunities, we believe we are not only empowering individuals but also contributing to the progress and prosperity of our communities.”

With the support by Ooredoo Myanmar in collaboration with Succor Foundation, the program aims to bridge the gender and digital divides in Myanmar while fostering competent women leaders in the digital age who contribute to the development of their communities.
The Tech Age Girls Myanmar Program consists of three phases aimed at empowering young women with essential skills. Phase I involves comprehensive digital skills training, Phase II emphasizes on soft skills including leadership, team building, project management, design thinking, creative and critical thinking, and community project planning training, followed by community project presentations leading to the selection of 40 outstanding finalists. The program culminates in Phase III’s Leadership Summit, providing mentoring and specialized training to finalists, who then implement community projects in their respective regions, creating a positive impact.
The Tech Age Girls participants will undergo a thoroughly constructed training program that will equip them with a diverse set of skills, ranging from essential soft skills to technical and professional expertise. The comprehensive training aims to instill confidence and inspiration in the participants, empowering them to emerge as competent women leaders for the future.
