Tech Age Girls Myanmar Program Initiates Phase 1 with Training of Trainers (TOT) in Collaboration with 33 Libraries across Myanmar

Ooredoo Myanmar is proud to announce the launch of (TAG) Tech Age Girls Myanmar Program 2023-2024’s Phase 1 today with “Training of Trainers” (TOT) by providing digital information literacy training to the trainers from 33 libraries across Myanmar. This year’s Tech Age Girls Myanmar Program will accept up to 200 enthusiastic girls who will then be provided cascade trainings at 33 libraries located in Ayeyarwady, Bago, Magway, Mandalay, Rakhine, Sagaing, Shan, Tanintharyi and Yangon.

Training of Trainers (TOT) program is 5 days long program organized in Yangon where selected trainers will be trained in Digital Information Literacy including ICT skills, computer training, effective usage of online tools and digital storytelling.

Ooredoo Myanmar collaborated with the partner organization “Succor Foundation,” to manage and provide trainings to young Myanmar women participating in the Tech Age Girls Myanmar Program 2023-2024. Ooredoo Myanmar has played an important part in this program throughout the years by providing connectivity and digital devices since 2016 and by fully sponsoring for the whole program since 2019 till date.

Tech Age Girls Myanmar Program is a year-long initiative aimed at empowering young women with digital and leadership skills, enabling them to become competent leaders in the digital age. Tech Age Girls Program 2023-2024 consists of three phases – Phase 1 trains on Digital Information Literacy (DIL), Phase II focuses on Soft skills building, and Phase III- the Leadership summit, spanning from August 2023 to May 2024.
