Leading global smartphone brand OPPO has announced that the Find N2 Flip, its first clamshell-style foldable phone, will be one of the first smartphones in the world to run Google’s new Android 14 Beta 1 update. Developers and early adopters will be able to explore the new features and APIs on their OPPO foldable through the first developer version of ColorOS built on Android 14.
“The OPPO Find N2 Flip has certainly set a high standard for new foldable smartphones. We created the Find N2 Flip by bringing together our own original design philosophy with top engineers in an innovative collaboration. With Android 14, we will continue to combine unrivaled software with the latest hardware to keep pushing forward what a foldable phone can be,” said Mr. Peter Dohyung Lee, OPPO’s Head of the Flagship Product Line.

Android 14 brings many improvements to functionality, performance, privacy, security, and personalization. It offers a more intuitive user interface with a new mid-display back arrow and an improved system share sheet. To strengthen user privacy, the system will only allow apps to access views defined for accessibility services. Google is inviting developers to use its Android APIs, tools, and resources to build apps designed for both large and small screens. As part of its collaboration with Google, OPPO recently introduced speech-to-text functionality that can be used directly on the Find N2 Flip’s cover screen.
The Android 14 Beta 1 update will be available for the OPPO Find N2 Flip, which launched globally in February 2023. The OPPO Find N2 Flip features the largest cover screen in its class, a next-generation Flexion Hinge with a barely visible crease, an all-day battery, and SUPERVOOC fast charging. The Android 14 Beta 1 update also includes four major ColorOS updates and 5 years of security updates for global users.
Developers can now download the ColorOS version built on Android 14 Beta 1. Later this year, global Find N2 Flip users will also be able to access the public ColorOS version based on Android 14.
OPPO, an official global partner of the UEFA Champions League, has appointed former football star Kaká – a past winner of the FIFA World Player of the Year, the Ballon d’Or, the UEFA Champions League, and the FIFA World Cup – as OPPO’s Global Brand Ambassador. He will join fans from around the world at the OPPO booth at Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey, host city of the 2023 UEFA Champions League final, where he will capture memorable photos using the Android 14 Beta 1-equipped OPPO Find N2 Flip and Find X6 Pro.
