It has been reported that Vivo introduced its latest 5G technology, Vivo AR Glass and Super
FlashCharge 120 W at the Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2019 in Shanghai, China on June
26, 2019.
In tune with this year’s Mobile World Congress theme, ‘Intelligent Connectivity,’ Vivo
introduced its smart devices and applications as well as new innovative technology with the aim

Vivo’s AR Glass, smart watches, smart earphones and other 5G enabled devices, which were
showcased, are based on 5G enabled smartphones. Vivo claimed that various techniques have
been approached in making different kinds of smart devices and applications, so as to bridge the
gap between the digital and the real world.
‘Our main purpose is to create smart devices, services and technology as it is Vivo’s aspiration to
deliver the ultimate user experience. Through the new technology and innovations that we
introduced, we hope to increase people’s quality of life and make a big impact on the
community,’ said Spark Ni, Senior Vice President at Vivo.

The company also introduced a range of 5G applications including 5G Cloud Game, 5G Screen
Mirroring and 5G EasyShare and other smart technology, all based on 5G network and the 5G
smartphone. For example, the 5G Cloud Game showcased at MWC does not run on the
smartphone itself, but on the cloud via 5G network due to 5G’s ultra-high speed and ultra-low
latency. Through cloud rendering services, video and audio is streamed in real-time to the
device. By shifting the processing from the device to the cloud, users can enjoy high-definition
picture quality and a low-latency gaming experience, and moreover, this model also applies to
5G Screen Mirroring and 5G EasyShare. As a result, users will no longer need to download
additional applications with the help of 5G enabled services.

Vivo also introduced its first Vivo AR Glass at MWC Shanghai 2019, which supports dual-
screen display and 6DoF Technology. After connecting with the 5G smartphone, users have
access to a range of applications such as mobile office, AR games, 3D high-definition video,
facial recognition and object recognition on the Vivo AR Glass.
Once the Vivo AR Glass projects the content, the 5G smartphone will then act as the control that
allows users to switch and select applications. For example, the smartphone becomes the main
console when playing games. On a mobile office setting, the smartphone turns into a keyboard.
The five types of applications that are currently supported by Vivo AR Glass include mobile
games, mobile office, 5G theatre, facial recognition and object recognition.

Another revolutionary innovation introduced at MWC Shanghai is the Vivo Super FlashCharge
120W, a first in the industry to deliver 120W ultra-high power charging. The Super FlashCharge
120W features a new charge pump technology with a customizable Type-C data cable and travel
charger, realizing 120W ultra-high power charging (20V/6A). Vivo Super FlashCharge 120W
has a 4,000mAh battery which takes only 5 mins to charge from 0 to 50%, and can fully charge
the smartphone in just 13 minutes.
