New Creator Tools Introduced for Facebook and Instagram

Creators will soon be able to showcase and sell their NFTs — digital collectibles — directly on their own Instagram and Facebook accounts. Meta first began rolling out this feature back in May, and has now officially unveiled it at Creator Week 2022. Through this feature, Instagram users will be able to buy their favorite creators’ digital collectibles directly on Instagram. The feature is also set to roll out to many more countries soon.

In addition, users will be able to feature their own digital collectibles in Instagram videos, and digital blockchains and wallets will also be integrated. Since the feature is also connected to OpenSea, where NFTs are bought and sold, collection names and descriptions will be viewable directly on Instagram as well.

To help creators earn more income through Facebook and Instagram, a new feature has also been added that lets Reels receive Stars. While the ability to receive Stars was already available on Facebook videos and live streams, this is the first time the Star and Gift feature has been added to Instagram Reels.

For creators earning income on Facebook and Instagram, a new Professional Mode has also been introduced alongside the regular account type. This feature helps creators reach the public more effectively and grow their experience. Through Professional Mode, creators will be able to earn income from their community via Stars and ads directly from their personal profile.
