Facebook has begun notifying users that, starting in December, it will remove four fields from user profiles. The fields set to be removed are Religious Views, Political Views, Address, and Interested In. These are fields that users could fill in on their personal profiles, and they will soon be removed. Facebook will send a notice to users who have filled in these fields, informing them of the removal. Other information, such as contact details, will remain on profiles.
Facebook users first learned about the upcoming removal after social media consultant Matt Navarra tweeted about it from his Twitter account, noting that the change would begin on December 1.

A Facebook spokesperson also told TechCrunch that the company was “removing profile fields like Interested In, Religious Views, Political Views, and Address” as part of ongoing efforts to make Facebook easier and better to use.
Facebook is removing these features because they are no longer as relevant compared to current times, and none of these fields appear on other social media platforms either. Instagram and other social platforms only display a small amount of personal information, and don’t include fields like personal views on politics or religion.
