Twitter, the social media platform, has changed from twitter.com to X.com, and has also rebranded its iconic little blue bird logo into a new X-shaped logo. As part of this change, Twitter’s @Twitter account has now gone inactive, and can instead be found as @X.
Elon Musk now owns X.com, and has also changed Twitter’s official company name to X Corp. Over the past week, Twitter.com has been redirecting to X.com, and this past Monday, July 24, the company also removed Twitter’s iconic bird logo from its headquarters. As the first step toward Elon Musk’s “everything app” vision for the platform he acquired, the logo has already changed on Twitter’s web version, with the mobile version set to follow once it is updated.

Following this rebrand, it’s reported that Twitter’s next step is to become a platform where users can “do just about anything.” In a post on Monday, company owner and billionaire Elon Musk wrote that “X Corp acquired Twitter to accelerate X, the everything app, with freedom of speech.” Musk’s post also noted that the platform will no longer be limited to the old 140-character cap, allowing posts of nearly any length, as well as video uploads running for hours.
