Nothing Phone 2 Arrives on the Market

Nothing, known for its bold, distinctive design in the smartphone market, launched the Nothing Phone 1 in 2022, and on July 11, 2023, the company began selling the Nothing Phone 2. Overall, the Nothing Phone 2’s design closely resembles last year’s Nothing Phone 1, though there are differences on the technical side. While the Nothing Phone 1 was represented by a parrot, the Nothing Phone 2 is instead represented by a dolphin.

The back of the Nothing Phone 2 comes in a transparent design available in White and Dark Grey, featuring Glyph lighting similar to the Nothing Phone 1. Unlike the Phone 1, however, the lighting is now divided into sections, with the center ring split into up to 6 segments. Compared to the Phone 1, the screen size is also slightly larger. The back of the phone uses a curved black glass design, reportedly made from 90% recycled materials. On the display side, it features a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED screen with peak brightness of up to 1600 nits.

For performance, it uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, running Android 13 with Nothing OS 2.0. It comes with two 50MP cameras and a 32MP selfie camera. The battery capacity is 4700mAh, supporting 45W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and up to 5W reverse wireless charging. Although it supports 45W charging, a charger is not included in the box. The phone’s water resistance rating has also been raised to IP54.
