Following the Training of Trainers (TOT) held in August as the first phase of the Ooredoo Myanmar-supported Tech Age Girls Myanmar Program 2023-2024, the trained facilitators have been delivering Digital Information Literacy (DIL) training at 33 libraries in their respective communities, with 250 young women from across Myanmar taking part.

The first phase of the Tech Age Girls Myanmar Program 2023-2024 runs for three months, from September to November, and covers computer training along with ICT skills, effective use of technology applications, and knowledge-sharing on digital communication.

“The Tech Age Girls Myanmar Program, primarily supported by Ooredoo Myanmar, is designed to help young women in Myanmar make good use of technology and give back to the development of their respective communities. Through hands-on, practical teaching methods that include group activities and individual presentations to achieve the best results, we believe this program will help the young women involved become confident, exceptional individuals,” said Ma Poe Eaisar, Project Manager of the Tech Age Girls Myanmar Program.

The Tech Age Girls Myanmar Program is a year-long initiative designed to develop future female leaders in the digital technology era by boosting the digital and leadership skills of young women in Myanmar. The program consists of three phases: the first phase covers Digital Information Literacy (DIL); the second phase covers 21st-century skills such as leadership, community development and project work, communication skills, and project management; and the third phase is a Leadership Summit for the award-winning young women.
