ATOM, provider of Myanmar’s 4.5G VoLTE service, successfully held a donation ceremony on January 24, 2024, at the Madrasah Arabia Anwarul-Uloom school for orphaned Muslim children in Ohn Kann, Taikkyi Township, Yangon Region. To improve teaching conditions and provide practical resources for the more than 350 students at the school, ATOM donated specially made furniture and equipment worth more than MMK 90 million (90,000,000 kyat), including wardrobes, bookshelves, steel tables, teak settees, chest freezers, and a 30KVA diesel generator.
This donation is part of ATOM’s school development program under the social and educational development pillar of its 2024 corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, and included the following items:

Specially made furniture for students and staff — ATOM donated 14 durable, high-quality wardrobes, 5 bookshelves, 100 steel tables, and 2 sets of teak settees (each set including 7 pieces).
Reliable food storage — To replace the school’s existing worn-out equipment and provide enough space to properly store perishable food, ATOM also donated 6 new Glacier-brand chest freezers.
A better learning environment — To ensure the school has a stable power supply, ATOM donated a Super SAK-30 model 30KVA single-phase diesel generator, backed by a 1,000-hour annual warranty. The generator was donated because the school’s existing generator could not supply enough electricity.

Over the 19 months through December 2023, ATOM contributed a total of MMK 2,274 million in line with its core focus areas: social and educational development, digital transformation of the education and healthcare sectors, and humanitarian assistance. These initiatives positively impacted the lives of 346,520 people across Myanmar.
Under its social and educational development pillar, ATOM supported the upgrading, rebuilding, and renovation of learning environments at 8 orphanages in 2022 and 2023, benefiting more than 2,603 students. These donations helped provide safe, quality learning environments, giving students full access to a brighter future.
Also, in December 2023, ATOM donated a Braille printer and printing paper to the Myanmar Christian Fellowship for the Blind to help produce educational materials for young people with visual impairments.
Looking ahead, under the “Share ATOM’s Heart” banner, ATOM is planning programs to expand access to quality education and healthcare services, alongside continued humanitarian care and support for communities in need.
