MPT has announced the launch of its eSIM service, giving customers a smoother and better connectivity experience. An eSIM is a digital SIM card that can be activated directly on a customer’s mobile phone system without the need to insert a physical SIM card.
MPT eSIM is available to all MPT mobile users. MPT eSIMs can be obtained at designated MPT retail stores, and more details are available at https://mpt.com.mm/mm/e-sim/. During the promotional period running until August 31, customers can switch from a physical SIM card to an eSIM for free. Customers can install their eSIM by going to the “Add eSIM” menu in their phone’s SIM manager settings and scanning the provided QR code.
To use MPT eSIM, customers will need an eSIM-compatible phone, and should check whether their phone supports eSIM before making the switch. Customers can easily check whether their phone supports eSIM by dialing *#06#. Their phone screen will then display an EID barcode, and customers can install their eSIM by following the steps below.
With its many benefits, the eSIM service gives customers a better mobile connectivity experience overall. Customers can connect smoothly while traveling abroad without needing a physical SIM card.
