ATOM Celebrates Double Award Win at Asian Telecom Awards 2024 in Recognition of Industry Leadership and Digital Innovation
For the second year running, ATOM, Myanmar’s leading 4.5G VoLTE telecom provider, has secured two prestigious awards at the Asian Telecom Awards, solidifying its position as a leader in innovation and industry excellence. At the ceremony held in Singapore on 29 February 2024, ATOM was honoured with the ‘Telecom Company of the Year – Myanmar’ and ‘Digital Initiative of the Year – Myanmar’ awards.

The Asian Telecom Awards, now in its third year, shines a spotlight on telecommunication companies that have distinguished themselves amidst a challenging market landscape, demonstrating resilience and innovation in delivering exceptional products and services to their customers.
This year, ATOM shines as a double award winner for providing Myanmar’s best 4.5G VoLTE network, empowering customers with seamless digital experiences, adopting digital innovation to streamline operations, and playing an active role in uplifting communities and fostering positive change. This follows ATOM’s impressive achievement at the Asian Telecom Awards 2023, where the company also received two awards, the ‘Telecom Company of the Year – Myanmar’ and the ‘Mobile Operator of the Year – Myanmar’ awards.

The ‘Telecom Company of the Year – Myanmar’ award acknowledges ATOM’s outstanding performance in various key areas. They include leadership in next-generation connectivity through network upgrades, strategic partnerships with key players in banking, entertainment, and aviation to unlock growth opportunities and enhance digital experiences for customers, as well as impactful social initiatives in education, healthcare, and disaster relief, positively impacting the lives of hundreds of thousands. In addition, the award recognises ATOM’s contributions to economic growth and digital inclusion through initiatives such as the SME Acceleration Programme and Mhya Ta Programme, which empower businesses and individuals.

ATOM’s award in the ‘Digital Initiative of the Year – Myanmar’ category is attributed to its innovative Automation of Business-As-Usual (BAU) Processes and Touch-Free Operations initiative. Leveraging advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Robotic Process Automation, this initiative has transformed ATOM’s IT operations, driving efficiency, reducing downtime, enhancing customer satisfaction, and achieving substantial cost savings.
The Asian Telecom Awards is organised by leading business magazine Asian Business Review, which is published by Singapore-based Charlton Media Group. The judging panel for the Asian Telecom Awards comprised representatives from Deloitte, KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and Ernst & Young (EY) – known as the Big 4 firms in management consulting.
