ATOM Hosts Let’s Play Arena Carnival to Celebrate Let’s Play Arena 2.0 Platform Launch with Thousands of Audiences
Over the weekend of 24 to 25 February 2024, the Thuwunna National Indoor Stadium in Yangon played host to Myanmar’s largest gaming event to date – the Let’s Play Arena Carnival! Organised by ATOM, Myanmar’s leading 4.5G VoLTE network provider, thousands of passionate gaming enthusiasts came together to enjoy a gaming carnival like no other. From All-Stars Arena battles and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang cosplay showdowns, to interactive photo and gaming booths, the carnival vibrated with the energy of competition and community.

Launch of Let’s Play Arena 2.0
The carnival was held to mark the launch of Let’s Play Arena 2.0, an enhanced version of Myanmar’s first-ever full-experience gaming platform which goes beyond traditional gaming platforms. First introduced in September 2022 by ATOM, the online gaming portal provides an unparalleled gaming experience for enthusiasts across the nation, with a diverse selection of casual games, engaging tournaments, and options for in-game item purchases.

Let’s Play Arena 2.0 (https://arena.atom.com.mm/my) offers seamless tournament registration, automated team verification, new gamification elements such as Rank Points, and increased frequency of tournaments for both casual and professional gamers, including Daily Speed Run and League of Champions. Immersive Gaming Experiences at the Let’s Play Arena Carnival
For the Let’s Play Arena Carnival, ATOM transformed Thuwunna National Indoor Stadium into a gamer’s dreamland, replicating the Let’s Play Arena 2.0 online portal to provide attendees with an immersive on-ground gaming experience, with 3D and cosplay photo booths, digital and arcade games, a VR Zone, and a food hall.

A total prize pool of MMK 50 million (MMK 50,000,000) was offered for various competitions, including an invitational Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament featuring top local esports teams. In the tournament final, Mythic SEAL emerged victorious against AI Esports, to claim the grand prize of MMK 15 million (MMK 15,000,000). In addition to viewing the live tournament matches, meet-and-greets with famous local esports teams brought fans face-to-face with their idols, while musical performances and cosplay showcases entertained the crowds.

ATOM Continues Collaboration with Myanmar Esports Federation (MESF)
The Let’s Play Arena Carnival was supported by the Myanmar Esports Federation (MESF). ATOM has collaborated with the MESF in recent years to elevate esports in the country, by supporting various tournaments and engaging with local esports teams. Looking ahead, ATOM and MESF will continue to work together to establish a regular schedule of tournaments to provide opportunities for local esports talents to thrive, to build the esports community, and to bring gaming experiences to people in the country.
