A free online course called “How to Succeed in the Global Workplace,” jointly organized by the British Council and the University of Sheffield, is set to begin on May 8. The goal of the course is to give people who are just starting out in the global workforce some practical guidance to help them succeed.
The course covers what newcomers to the workplace should focus on during their early days on the job, through a mix of articles, videos, interactive material, discussions, exercises, quizzes, and hands-on guidance. Taking the course is meant to equip new employees with plenty of useful techniques and help them confidently overcome the common challenges that come with starting a new job.
The course is aimed at people with an intermediate level of English and can easily be studied on a smartphone. For more details or to sign up, visit the Global Workplace course page.
