Meta announced the details of community standards

Every day, people use Facebook to share their experiences, connect with friends and family, and build communities. Meta provides a service for more than two billion people to freely express themselves across countries and cultures and in dozens of languages.

The community standards are based on expert advice in areas such as technology, public safety, human rights, and public feedback. The community standards are as follows.

(1) Freedom of expression

The Internet has been creating a variety of opportunities for abuse to users. Meta also wants the content people see on Facebook to be authentic. Authenticity can create a better environment for sharing. In case, Facebook doesn’t want misrepresentation. Photo Source https://www.facebook.com/MetaMM

(2) Safety

Facebook removes content that may endanger the physical safety of individuals. Content that threatens the public is intended to intimidate others and such content is not allowed on Facebook for the potential of marginalization or silencing.

(3) Privacy

People can express themselves freely and choose how and when to share content on Facebook if there is privacy.

(4) Dignity

We believe that all people have equal dignity and rights. It is expected that people will respect the dignity of others and will not harass or insult others.
