Grab Myanmar and WizAct 24 Disinfectant to support daily disinfection of taxi for passengers
This collaboration aims to control the spread of Covid-19, minimize the risk of disease, and provide safer and more secure travel for GrabProtect taxi passengers.
From March 28 to April 8, 2022, two 450ml bottles of WizAct 24 disinfectant will be distributed free of charge to each of 1,000 Grab Partner Drivers who are providing GrabProtect Services in Yangon.
This surface disinfectant can kill up to 99.9% of viruses and bacteria and frequent contact can be disinfected for up to 24 hours. Therefore partner drivers’ cars will be used for daily disinfection.
The Grab Partner Driver will also be introduced to frequently contacted surfaces for disinfection in the taxi.

These surfaces include the steering wheel, gear handle, door handle, seat belts, and door control panels.
GrabProtect, launched in August 2020, is a transportation service that includes additional health and safety features within the Grab app. With the best-trained drivers, passengers will be able to ride in a taxi with a plastic cover between the driver and the passenger in the back seat to reduce the risk of virus infection. GrabProtect Partner Drivers must adhere to a six-step cleaning standard, such as medical examination, must being worn mask and daily disinfection of the car to reduce the spread of Covid-19.
As a part of the partnership, stickers will be affixed to the back of the GrabProtect Partner Driver’s driver’s seat. Moreover, an educational video of how to disinfect GrabProtect cars will also be posted on Grab Myanmar and WizAct 24 social media sites, including GrabAds in 100 Grab taxis. Details of this collaboration will also be shared on the Grab app and Grab website.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), in non-healthcare facilities such as homes, offices, schools, gyms, public buildings, religious centers, markets, transportation, business hubs, and restaurants, regular disinfection is an important part to reduce the risk of spreading Covid-19 virus.
WizAct 24 is the world’s first disinfectant with Actizone, Actiguard’s technology, using its own disinfection method. According to US EPA RSS24 and UK BSI PAS2424 disinfection procedures, Actiguard technology meets the standards of pesticides and can kill bacteria for 24 hours. Currently, WizAct 24 Disinfecting Spray is available in a 450ml spray bottles and easy-to-use 18ml pocket spray, and packs of 10 disinfectant wipes. WizAct 24 can be purchased at Supermarkets and nearby stores.
Passengers in Yangon and Mandalay can access the GrabProtect service using the Grab app. The GrabProtect service is provided by 1,500 GrabTaxi partner drivers in Yangon and 150 GrabThoneBane partner drivers in Mandalay.
