Linn Myanmar Application that came through all the difficulties (Interview with Ko Aung Ko Ko Kyaw, Operation Manager of Linn Myanmar App)

Linn Myanmar App is an application that sells supplements and medicines from the US, and Canada in Myanmar and also delivers to those who need medicine and supplements to their doorsteps without leaving the house.

The Linn Myanmar App was started in September 2021 and was supported to start in February 2021. The purpose of launching the app is to make it easier for people in Myanmar to buy and sell their products using Digital Transformation technology instead of opening a regular store. It faced many difficulties as E-Commerce was not yet developed in Myanmar at that time. Photo… Ko Aung Ko Ko Kyaw, Operation Manager of Linn Myanmar App

About the difficulties he faced, Ko Aung Ko Ko Kyaw, Operation Manager of Linn Myanmar App said “As E-Commerce is not familiar in Myanmar, customers don’t interest in our app. Customers just come and buy at the store or through Facebook or Viber. They don’t want to install an E-commerce platform app on their phone. In such a situation, we encouraged our existing customers to buy through the application. But, only 10% of the customers use the app.”

In addition, another problem at the beginning was that it was not convenient to connect with banks. According to the different standards of different banks in Myanmar, there are many difficulties when connecting with the IT departments which result in a delay in launching the app. Currently, it has more than 2,500 users on both Android and iOS although there is no marketing for the app yet.

“Users can check the product price and its images, number of stocks, expire date, and cart is also added to purchase items if the customer like the products. Customers can also choose a variety of payment method. Customers can pay through the popular payment methods in Myanmar, WavePay, KBZPay, AYA Pay, CB Pay, uab Pay, One Play as well as MPU. Bank account transfer are also accepted as well. We accept to make payment with every bank in Myanmar,” he added.

The main advantage is that, customers can pay with multiple payment methods and the customers will receive an SMS automatically once the payment is made. In case, customers no longer have to worry about the payment transfer is successful or not.

For the future upgrades, he explained “The app will later change to a lifestyle app although it was started as an E-Commerce App. We will be able to shop items, top-up balance, and purchase bus, and train tickets. Currently, we have started selling medicines in our app. Customers will be able to directly consult with doctors online through our app.” Photo Source https://www.facebook.com/LMH.CLM

All supplements in our app have barcodes. By scanning the barcode of the supplements sold outside, customers will be able to know if the product is available in Linn Myanmar App or not.

For those who want to start using the Linn Myanmar App, Ko Aung Ko Ko Kyaw said, “Our app is very high tech, and please don’t think that you can’t use it. Our customers, many elderly people use our app.  It’s easy to use and customers just have to follow step by step to use it. Visit the following link to download the app.
