Mytel transfers telecommunications equipment to the Ministry of Religion and Culture for implementation of the E-Government System

On 18th August 2020, Mytel donated laptops, computers to implement the E-Government System for the Ministry of Religion and Culture, setting up internet and video conferencing systems then transferred the telecommunications devices.

During the ceremony, Mytel donated 50 computer laptops worth a total of 2,035 lakh kyats, six video conferencing systems, and 160 Mbps internet connection using fiber optic cable were donated for 3 years free for the E-Government implementation of the Ministry of Religion and Culture. Mytel will install high-speed fiber optic cable internet for six places such as at the three headquarters of the Ministry of Religion and Culture in Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw, the State Pariyatti Sasana University in Mandalay, and the University of Arts and Culture in Yangon and Mandalay.

Since its inception, Mytel has focused on a wide range of philanthropic activities until now, and currently,   Internet access has been installed in 446 locations for the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, local government offices, and other organizations. In addition, providing food to flood victims in Amarapura, from the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic until now, donations have been made to the Ministry of Health and Sports and the public. Furthermore, Mytel has also established the Empower My Children Foundation to support the education and health of children from families with social difficulties.
