The new OPPO A Series smartphone, the OPPO A17k, has been available for purchase across Myanmar since December 8 at 339,900 kyats, in a choice of two colors: Blue and Navy Blue.
The newly launched OPPO A17k features a flat-edged design, with a rugged, multi-layered back cover that resists fingerprints and scratches. With a 6.56″ screen, a weight of just 189g, and a thickness of only 8.3mm, the OPPO A17k feels comfortable in the hand while still offering a premium feel. For a smooth everyday smartphone experience, it also comes with a side fingerprint unlock system for quick, easy access.

The OPPO A17k comes in two colors, Blue and Navy Blue. The Blue version features a back cover with a clear, glass-like design, along with a Running Track Camera Design around the rear camera that recreates the beauty of an athletic running track. The Navy Blue version’s back cover, meanwhile, uses a Premium Fabric Texture Design that likewise evokes the beauty of a running track, for an especially premium design experience.
The OPPO A17k is equipped with a long-lasting, large 500mAh battery, making it convenient for those who constantly use many apps, media, and the camera, and it also comes with 10W charging to keep the battery topped up quickly.
On the performance side, it’s equipped with an MTK G35 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 64GB of ROM, along with an Extended RAM feature that can boost RAM by up to 4GB. This RAM extension system converts ROM into RAM to support apps that need extra memory and to reduce lag. The OPPO A17k runs ColorOS 12.1, based on Android 12, which includes FlexDrop for faster app switching and multitasking.

The newly launched OPPO A17k comes with an AI-powered 8MP main camera and 5MP front camera for great-looking photos, along with an AI-powered Portrait Retouching feature that makes selfies — solo or group — look naturally beautiful.
OPPO first introduced the A Series to the Myanmar market with the OPPO A37 in 2016, which went on to become a strong-selling smartphone model. After the OPPO A37, OPPO quickly introduced further models in the series to Myanmar, including the A57, A7, A3s, A5s, A31, and A33. The A Series was further upgraded in 2019 with models like the OPPO A9 2020 and A5 2020, cementing the OPPO A Series as a well-known and successful smartphone series in the mid-range market. From 2020 onward, other OPPO A Series smartphones such as the A52, A53, and A54 secured their place in Myanmar’s mid-range smartphone market. In particular, the A Series’ design and performance are what OPPO users have come to love most.
